Matt Ma

Preschool Director & Business Manager

Matt is the dynamic Preschool Director & Business Manager at iSchoolOC. He brings a unique blend of creative and administrative expertise to his role, thanks to his diverse professional background.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and has several years of experience in the commercial industry. However, his passion for education led him down a different path, and he began his teaching career in 2014. As a high school teacher, Matt taught video production, broadcasting, and art, inspiring students with his knowledge and enthusiasm. Always looking for ways to grow and contribute more to the field of education, Matt pursued additional training to become a site supervisor for child development centers. This role allowed him to gain valuable insights into managing and overseeing the operations of educational facilities. In 2021, amidst the global pandemic, Matt demonstrated his resilience and entrepreneurial spirit by successfully opening and operating two child development centers.

Having joined iSchoolOC in mid-July, Matt is eager to apply his diverse set of skills towards enhancing the preschool experience for our youngest learners. His dedication, creativity, and leadership are invaluable assets to our school community.

Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English, Matt brings a multicultural perspective to iSchoolOC. He also understands some Chinese dialects, further expanding his cultural and linguistic skills.

Away from work, Matt is an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoys both participating in and watching various sports, with a particular interest in basketball and American football. His love for speed also extends to driving.
