Linda Leifer
US Math & STEM Teacher
Linda is the US Math and STEM Teacher at iSchoolOC, bringing a strong academic foundation and nearly two decades of teaching experience to her role.
She first earned degrees in Kinesiology and Psychology from McMaster University before pursuing her Bachelor of Education at the University of Western Ontario. Linda began her teaching career in 2001 in Canada and later relocated to California. Her experience spans Kindergarten through 6th grade, with a focus on math and STEM education, as well as 10th grade math. In addition, she has shared her passion for movement and discipline by coaching gymnastics in Singapore, further enriching her ability to connect with and inspire students.
Linda is dedicated to helping students discover curiosity, creativity, and confidence through hands-on learning. As a native English speaker who has lived in Canada, Singapore, and the United States, she brings a global perspective to her classroom, enriching her well-rounded approach to STEM. Her experiences as a world traveler allow her to connect with students of diverse backgrounds while encouraging them to explore problem-solving, innovation, and discovery in a supportive environment.
Outside the classroom, Linda enjoys expressing her creativity through knitting and crocheting, as well as experimenting with kitchen science projects that often resemble cooking adventures. Her enthusiasm for both learning and creativity makes her a dynamic and valued addition to the iSchoolOC community.
