A Unique Spelling Bee at the International School of Orange County

From January 24th to January 28th, our 1st to 8th grade students participated in a very unique spelling bee as they were asked to compete in both English and French. More than 50 of our students volunteered to take part in this year's competition. The contestants were given a list of words before the big day which they practiced in class and at home. While it's always impressive for our students’ families to see their young learners navigate between English and French with the same ease, seeing them on stage also reminded us all how special our community is.

Our young participants could not have been better ambassadors of the excellence of our immersion program. Thank you to all the contestants, and congratulations to the winners!

Check out the slide below which highlights some of the best moments of the competition.
